After Edie left the Factory, she returned to her family in Santa Barbara. She grew her hair out to its natural brown, and toned down her look.
She wore these earrings in the final years of her life. Quite possibly the last pair she ever wore. A fitting tribute to the ultimate “It girl”. Lovingly re-created by Steve Sasco. Only available here.
Earrings measure 2-1/2 inches including fishhook closure. Hoop measures 1-3/4 inches wide. Material is brass with Gold finish.
Serendipity: A happy accident or pleasant surprise. A fortunate mistake. When Edie took 2 fabric tassels from a coat and wore them as earrings, she never imagined how some 50 years later how Fashionable it would still be!
My version, in metal, is slightly smaller in scale due to the fact I couldn't mass produce it in fabric but is every bit as stunning as the original.
Total length 4" long. Post
This earring was an outtake from the movie Factory Girl. It was in for a few scenes, but wound up on the cutting room floor! I have had it archived and decided it was time to release it and make available to Edie fans.
Antique gold plating with antique faceted crystal beads. Very light weight brass. Fishook closure. 3-1/2 inches at longest. Made in USA
There are a lot of pictures of Edie wearing this earring so I imagine it must have been one of her favorites. From the moment I saw it, I wanted to make it.
Well, I've brought it back to life. From the days of the silver foiled factory to modern day times. My theory is Edie made this earring herself from parts of other jewelry items. My version stays true to the original, but now the Indian themes all tie in and flow together nicely.
Total length 4 3/4" long. Post. (Clip available by request)
